B&G Sheds offer a permit service in which it acts as the Agent of Owner.
Owner Builder Service
At B&G Sheds, we provide a comprehensive permit service acting as your Owner's Agent. When applying for your building permit, we will:
- Prepare a Site Plan: Using information supplied by you and/or satellite images.
- Create Elevation Drawings: Detailing your exact building specifications.
- Develop Building Plans: Including computations and a Certificate of Compliance for the building surveyor.
- Obtain Documentation: Downloading a current copy of your Title, Plan of Subdivision, Covenants, and Agreements.
- Check Additional Permits: Identifying any other necessary permits such as Town Planning or Build Over Easement permissions from relevant authorities, along with Council Report & Consent.
- Submit the Application: We will handle submission to the building surveyor and cover fees for the building surveyor, council lodgements, and the State Government and HIH Building levies.
- Maintain Communication: Keeping you updated throughout the process at key milestones.
- Provide Approved Permits: Sending you the original approved stamped building permits and supporting documents while retaining a copy for our records.
Registered Builder Service
If you prefer to manage the project through a Registered Building Practitioner, we will also:
- Conduct a Site Visit: The Registered Builder will assess the site and review the agreement details.
- Prepare a Contract: A Major Domestic Building Contract will be created for your project.
- Obtain Insurance: If your project exceeds $12,000, the Registered Builder will secure Domestic Building Insurance for your protection.
Please note that a separate fee will be quoted for this Registered Builder Service.
